It shape is more oblong, with soft, silvery white, fir-like spines, all over it. Forms clumps very early in life. Keeps forms more pups all over the plant. Grows slower than the normal Scopa plant and very similar flower.

Description

PARODIA SPECIES 

Join with Notocactus, Eriocactus, Wigginsia species as well.

Native to the uplands of Argentina, Peru, Bolivia, Brazil, Columbia and Uruguay. About 50 species in the family.

They range from small globose plants to columnar cacti. All deeply ribbed and spiny, with a single flowers at or near the crown. Some species produce offsets at the base. Very popular plant amongst the collectors.
