Slow growing and rarer plant of the species with dark thick green leaves. Need light shade to shade but will take full sun part of the day. But be careful as to much sun will burn the plant causing white marks on the plant. Summer regularly watering is required but allow dry out. Light watering in winter.

Native to Southern Africa, related to the Aloes.

Stemless plants, thick leaves, different shapes, patterns and colors though some spiral with age. Varies in sizes.

Summer growers, best to grow in light shade to shade, well-drained soil. Water regularly in the growing season but let it dry out between watering. Winter months mostly dry. Tolerate light frost.
