ECHINOCACTUS SPECIES 

Known as golden barrel, golden ball, native to east-central Mexico. About 6 species in total. Most known as true desert plants. They are highly attractive plants for their ribbed lobes. Shape of these plants are round, oblong, but become oval with aged. Most common one is echinocactus grusonii for its colour (golden). The colour of these plants are golden or white because of the spines, blue-grey bodies some have. They are a slow growing plants.
